Reshade can't download effect packages. Any ideas?

Hi. When I try to install the latest Reshade V.5.8.0, I get an error message during installation saying

"Failed to download list of available effect packages:
The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Proceeding without effect installation..."

I'm running Windows 10, 64bit. Appreciate any tips on how to resolve this

It's not game specific, it gives the same error msg regardless of the game, hence why I thought this forum might be best

Enter the error message into Google and there will be several results from users having the same issue. See what you can find in those.

That was the very first thing I try whenever I have issues like this

They just recommend updating windows, enabling TLS 1.1 and 1.2 in registry, and using a VPN to change location. Tried all 3 and still no difference.

I posted on the Reshade forum too so hopefully someone knows, thanks
