Can't access game servers with VPN on

I can't access any of my games servers while my VPN is on, for example when I try to play csgo after 6 seconds I get a message saying "failed to reach official servers." But when I turn the VPN off I can find a game. But again I want to be able to play with the VPN on. I've been having this issue for 3 weeks now and can't find a fix anywhere.

There is no fix if you want to play on official servers and you know why. A vpn disguises were you are in the world and why it fails. If you want to play on official servers do not use vpn.

The 'fix' is to not play on official servers using a VPN.

You also need to remember that playing on vpn's is against many rules both on steam and for many games because of various reasons like bypassing region restrictions or adding additional lag on your end so this is an issue you need to deal with as you can ask on the game forums for this reason.

My VPN region is set to the country that I am in, and I was able to play with my VPN on with no problem for nearly a year until 3 weeks ago when this just started to happen.

Yet i've been able play on official servers with a vpn for nearly a year...

Yet when you DO NOT use your vpn, your real world location is known and you CAN connect to the official game servers.

This is exactly the reason why I use a VPN otherwise I wouldn't use one. What I don't understand is how I was able to play with out problems for nearly a year with the VPN on and now it's not working.
