My VPN region is set to the country that I am in, and I was able to play with my VPN on with no problem for nearly a year until 3 weeks ago when this just started to happen.
Yet i've been able play on official servers with a vpn for nearly a year...
A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and then routes it through your VPN provider's server before you connect to a website or another online service. This helps disguise your identity and activity on the internet. VPNs can be used to bypass geographic restrictions, shield your activity on public Wi-Fi, and hide your real IP address when browsing etc.
Yet when you DO NOT use your vpn, your real world location is known and you CAN connect to the official game servers.
This is exactly the reason why I use a VPN otherwise I wouldn't use one. What I don't understand is how I was able to play with out problems for nearly a year with the VPN on and now it's not working.
I cant join any matcmaking official servers when my vpn is on at the windows background even i have done tunnelling/bypassers settings in my vpn apps. I use 2 diff types if vpn. Surfshark & Nordvpn.
It connects well to any cs servers when i turn off my windows vpn... Any1 comes up with some solution?
ps.
Some ISP have higher service level on VPN, but any technician can tell you it's not always the best DL with it, depend on route and bandwide line with them VPN users.
And you also forget VPN to game server mean longer transfer, maybe game devs start to notice the lag such players might can do, you might know ping from in game apps but its actual Latency for network tech dudes and game server ppl,
Same goes with wifi users, if game server ppl might have enoough of them DC user and other pesky players with bad cable even. ( also why you see game guve you a ban for disconnecting today some players missuse thi in the past. ) but atm this is only a VPN issue try without it.
we are not going to explan traceroute when ISP can hide or mask internal route and the route you take though them.
