Right click on the game in your library, properties, general, and unmark the checkbox that disables Steam Cloud.

I've just noticed that "Steam/Settings/Cloud/Enable Steam Cloud.." is getting back on when I restart Steam. Considering that I disabled it yesterday again, it looks like a bug.

The only solution I see at the moment is to check that it is disabled globally every time you start Steam until the bug is resolved.

Just asking, are you on like DSL, or dial up, or using your phone data plan as only way to access to the internet?

No, it's an actual question to you, just wondering why you're fixed on against cloud save, just assume there has to be a reason why you don't want game save to be backup at all, not saying you can't, nor am I saying you shouldn't.

ah, I only game on my desktop pc and have no need for cross platform saves. in the past with cloud enabled I've had saves and config files corrupted during syncing and lost hours to days of progress. now I use my own backups. I also do not have any option to delete/manage cloud data from https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage so I can't even remove corrupt data.
Ah ok, that make sense, yeah it's always good idea to have manual backup of your own saves incase cloud cause problems.

Now for replacing saves on your cloud, that much I can help you out on that, if in the future you ever want to use it again.

To replace save on cloud, just make copy of your save before hand just incase anything happen, can use pcgamingwiki to help you find game save locations.

1. Launch game with cloud enable.

2. Alt+tab out of game, now replace save files with the save files you want to keep, click yes to replace.

3. Force close game you do not want to do any saving, and cloud save will upload & replace what on the cloud with your save files. That about it.

Now if it game with ton of saves, like I remember case where someone made like hundreds of saves on Skyrim, not sure why, but it was causing his game to have problems because save files were upward of a gigabyte, yikes I know, anyways, to solve that problem, same steps above, but instead of replacing saves, just delete them, or delete the ones you don't want to keep, and then close game, and hopefully it get rids of all those saves.

I'm having the same issue. I opened a ticket with steam 3 days ago... it was 'Supposedly' forwarded to the correct department, but have not yet received a reply; but again... it was only forwarded to the correctly department a day and a half ago.

But 'Yes'... Massively irritating. I strongly suggest AnyOne / EveryOne open a Similar Ticket if using Steam Cloud is not the option you want!!!

I'm Assuming you're still having the issue. An Update came down Yesterday (or Maybe the Day Before), and since then the problem has gone away.

Note... they never responded to my ticket (other than letting me know it was forwarded to the correct department); but again... once the UpDate came down... problem was solved.

Have you rebooted? And more importantly, when was your last Steam UpDate?

Xeno... Did yours ever get fixed?

I'm wondering because mine did it again today; I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see if it happens again. Today Might Just be a Fluke; but if it's not, it feels like they are trying to Force/Trick us into using the Cloud. (I might be getting irate too soon, but I really dislike being forced to use something I don't like... probably for someone else's profit.) >8(
