Scam - help pls
Hi.

3 days ago I was searching the community forum. I wanted to trade my whole inventory (about 150 euros) for some knives. I clicked on the trade link to give an offer to some people. Now I checked my account and I have nothing. It was only 150 euros, but it angered me so fuc much.
I didn´t give anyone a password, nothing I have 2 walls for trade. I dunno how it's possible how they could steal it.
Now I looked at my trade history and it's false. For example, it showed me that my AK-Asiimov was traded in 2021, for some 0 level players. That is so shiii, I had it 3 days ago in my inventory. It showed me that I traded my skins with like 30 people. That´s not possible, they had to hack my PC. I hope they will have a cancer one day 😊
I am sure that I lost all my skins, but it's possible to give steam support a name of accounts that he can ban them?
What should I do now?

Pls, let me know. thanks,

I don´t even know how they scammed me. I didn´t click on any URL. Now I am wondering if it could be the trade link offer, but I checked the accepted offer on mobile and it shows me my skins for the knife. Not my skin as a gift.

Thanks

Jan

Checking username history, we know how.
Using 3rd party sites are always a risk. As soon you grant them full access to your account, they can change trade offers etc.

Guessing you did end up phishing "trade" url instead. Steam support does not return your items.
It's a shame that people scam. Unfortunately the most likely option is that you give up on trying to get your stuff back and move on perhaps giving up on whatever game you were on as well...(because in the end you'll save money and why play a game where people are so money hungry and dishonourable as to try to hurt and cheat others to gain a profit?)

Try going on Twitch and listening to "Kitboga" (He calls scammers and has amazing voice impressions.. The calling scammers might entertain you. I have personally listened to each and every episode for the past 5 years....Also I will link below some SONGS that were created to celebrate some of his more fun and interesting calls)

https://soundcloud.com/psychopanthera/do-not-redeem-that (This is from the MOST angry scammer of all time. Kitboga DESTROYS the scammer through a call lasting many hours. The scammer even talks to different "family members" of kitboga - meaning his alternate voices - and tries to lie to them in the most malicious ways... And at the end the way Kitboga WON was just perfect. Definitely a call you should watch in FULL. Scammer yelled sooo dang much. IF you can't be bothered at least start the video at 43 minutes into it and try listening to the end of that call which is around 9 hours into the actual call.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRMMwpDTs5k <- Small portion of the call ( I have listened to his 10+ hour calls and his 2 longest calls 36 hours, and a 48 Hours one)

https://soundcloud.com/leonorosen/leon-o-rosen-hey-god-feat-kitboga-scrap-scam-hop

https://soundcloud.com/widedoggstudios/wide-dogg-studios-woof (For this call he was able to make a scammer believe that an AI was able to make decisions for the customer)

The trade offers were like for the other people. I dunno who scammed me. Like its possible to be scammed if I click at trade offer? I didn´t click at any URL what would drive me away to the third side. I just clicked at URL of trade offer all the action was at the steam.

Thanks

Mby yes. I know its my fault and my missery. I just wanted to trade :) But ♥♥♥♥ steam for the low level of security. How its possible that I can´t see who I were trading with + shows me fake dates of trades.

Thanks

Those are two incompatible thoughts. Do I blame the lock maker if someone tricks me into giving them the key? Steam security is solid. The weak link is the end user, ie: you.

You should see this as an opportunity to learn how the scam works. Learn how you fell for it. Learn what to look out for next time. Some of us been on Steam for decades and have managed to keep our accounts secure just fine.

Probably someone you had advertised in your name. Not a single 3rd party is 100% safe. At best they are at doubt.

Once they gain high level access to your account (btw, check your API keys now. The list should be empty!), they can manipulate any trade offer. The link for a trade offer on Steam can be fully legit, but in the time between you clicking on the trade offer and confirming it via Steam Guard, the scam sites can freely manipulate the trade offer - changing items and even the target. The scam site will duplicate the appearance of your trade target and switch with one of their own zombie accounts.

Steams security is actually really strong. Getting into other peoples accounts is next to impossible if you secure them properly.

Of course, if you give away all the keys to random Scamsites that's 100% on you. Nothing to do with Steams Security.

Steam's security is fine. That's like giving away your house keys to a thief, getting burgled when you're away on holiday and then blaming the locks and the door for not knowing the date it happened.

You literally have a phishing site in your name history:lunar2019laughingpig:
Actually, there are at least two, and a very questionable nickname.

What do u mean by that? I don´t see any strange history of names. Like the stuff with ´´something´´.com? I did that by my self like years ago to get some % and free cases. Or what name u see as aproblem? Mby I don´t or I cannot see it.

Like the Empire and Howl sites? I was at them like 5 years ago. U think that they can steal it after 5 years? I don´t gamble at any sites.
