Multiple Devices
Hi! I like to play a game on multiple devices, one is a mac and one is windows 10. I updated the game on the Windows device, but the update button is gone from the mac. I clicked PLAY anyway, but inside the game it said, "Something went wrong: your version is out of date." The game is Goose Goose Duck by Gaggle Studios.

Hi, I have a question relating to multiple devices seeing your statement relates...does steam allow you to install one game across multiple devices using one account of course? Besides having to use Steam family library sharing.

Yes. Why wouldn't it?

I don't believe it does. I'm pretty sure you have to purchase the game for each device. Otherwise how do they know you aren't just stealing? Plus, if you have multiple accounts with the same games through the Family Share feature, you have to "borrow" a game from your primary device for it to work on other devices. Unless of course, you purchase it on both accounts

There is no device limit like this at all.

One account only needs to purchase it a single time regardless of how many devices that account wants to use said game on.

Ask game devs , what if they have made a mistake or cross platfrom is not same as you switch OS and steam try lauch a windows on mac version or vice versa.

all this is in gamer devs area, or other player in that game hub that know how it work.

mp cross platform is not same as you switch PC with other system if save game or progrss with config is not match to do so. ( still think its game devs problem ) and what they will do about with steam. steam just use cloud sync and they mightr dont see mac and windows as same.
