Steam Guard Error

I wanted to add steam guard to my account, i have app , i have mail, i have phone number, but when i click "Add Authenticator" in steam mobile app, text appears showing "an error occurred adding this account please try again later" I searched on the Internet for a solution to this problem, they say to wait. But I've been waiting for 5 hours, even more. Should I wait longer or is there some other solution? Sorry for my bad english.

Are you trying use old version, or new version?

OLD version DOES NOT WORK.

New version is have you have to use, you download it via Google play, or Apple store. Sign into your Steam account on the app, it will then ask you follow the process to setup such as linking your phone number on your account.

Unfortunately no. I'm using the latest version of steam from the play store, my phone is already linked to my steam account :(

YEAH! I solved this problem! I just went to steam settings -> account -> View account details -> manage steam guard and then I chose the very first option (get steam app code) instead of mail ! Thanks for trying to help me

How ? me and you same issue problem always error occured :( im try and try a day.im try follow setting manage steam guard and choose the top always keep icon download but im already have steam app

It doesnt let me add a phone number get an error messages after clicking the verified button on email and goes to the steam app and says error message

Use the number you have registered and verified with your Activision account instead.

I'm also having this issue on where it's saying there's "An error adding this account." I tried finding the Manage Steam Guard that was suggested in the prior comment but I can't seem to find it.
