Cannot install game on other computer if already installed on any before
Hi, I wanted to download game 'New World'. That game is available on both of my devices, where both are PC with Windows OS. Now, I couldn't install game on second device until first device Steam was running, because only option was STREAM. I had to turn off first device, and then STREAM option changed to INSTALL.

The good thing is when I clicked INSTALL and then restart steam on both devices, then it started to copy game from one device to other. But in my honest opinion there should be COPY/INSTALL option available without turning off first device or turning off steam on first device.

Hope it will help some other people:
1. turn off 1st steam
2. click install on 2nd steam
3. turn off 2nd steam
4. turn on 1st steam
5. turn on 2nd steam

Hopefully steam will add that option :)

Or, i know it's crazy, you could simply disable Steam Remote Play, or use the dropdown menu to install instead of stream.

Steam --> Settings --> RemotePlay

I didn't seen any dropdown menu for that, I checked it out before I started that discussion.
You're right, disable Steam Remote Play would work, but I still think there should be availiable install option without changing any settings.

The dropdown is right next to the PLAY/STREAM button, a small white triangle pointing down.
Click on it, select "this computer" and you can install the game on that PC instead of starting a stream.

You are logged in on another computer playing (whatever) fact is I wasn't playing I was downloading! Launching (whatever) here will disconnect the other session from steam.
WHY? I have to go without playing MY games because Horrid steam thinks I'm playing a game on my other PC when in fact it is downloading FS2020 which takes over 24 hrs on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
