Blizzard account region issues
My account location is set to the USA but im canadian. I must not have really thought about it when i made it years ago. I recently found this out when i went to purchase diablo 4. I noticed the price was in USD. I imagine my credit card will charge me a conversion rate anyways but i dont wanna purchase it just incase. If i buy diablo 4 in usd will i get in trouble? Or does it not matter cause of the conversion rate. I know some of you may be wondering why im asking this on steam and thats because im literally getting no responses on reddit/blizzard forums or even facebook groups.

thank you Einstein, as stated i have tired their and other forums. Im hoping some ppl on steam might have an answer as it seems likely some ppl would also have a blizzard account. Thank you for your genius insight though,
There is a faq how to change store region, if you have less than 20 $ on it. And it might vanish.

Submit a support ticket to Blizz and ask them. this is to do with account data and users often can't assist in something like that.

The faq talks about a self change service (page). If that doesnt work its time to contact support

No it does but as I said I'm really not interested in giving my birth certificate or ID out online.

Your ID is what identifies you as who you say you are... Blizz isn't going to do anything with it other than identify you.
If you dont want to prove who you are, they won't care to help you.

That's good to know, I mean it's not like their loosing money. I'm purchasing it from a Canadian credit card which will exchange the current rate properly.

I never asked for their help I asked if it's an issue in the first place. If you wanna give your Healthcare card to a random company that's your business but steam/GOG/epic don't require it so its not like everyone else is doing it.

The support article on Blizzard says "submit a legible image of a recent utility bill with your name and new address for manual review". And that's only if the self-service tool doesn't work. Where does it state that you have to provide a healthcare card?

There's a bit more to the story (I didn't use my real name so they require those things) but this is getting off topic. I'm more interested in whether or not they even care.
It never was on topic as Blizzard does not use Steam in any way.

true, why is this in Steam's help and tips section instead of off-topic?

They do care, just be honest with them and don't lie to them. Show them your ID and they can fix all the things on your account. I used a fake name and birthday when I was underage and got it fixed with my ID no problem.

If you feel like Blizzard is a "random company" and you don't trust them enough to go through their support or their processes, you probably shouldn't be doing business with them.
I don't distrust them specifically I just don't think providing that kind of information to a company who has no business having it is not a good thing. Their are multiple ways to verify who you are without the need for giving them specific information... companies can have security breaches. My point for the other companies is that it's not like it's a policy adopted by everyone. This is getting off topic anyways. You wanna give a company your Healthcare care or ID go ahead. I'm more interested if blizzard even cares that I put America. If they don't it's a none issue.
