Chat/friends list issue
This has only started in the past week, but every time I "shift+tab" from a game, the first thing Steam does is open up my friends list in full screen in the overlay, and I am completely unable to view chats with friends. The window will pop open for a split second and then immediately close. Not just minimizing, closing.
Any suggestions for this?

Dock the list to the chat and see if that helps.

It seems like a common bug. Dock the chats to the friends list via friends list settings (in the top right corner). It works for me sometimes.

I have the same issue on a fresh Windows installation.

I can't do anything to the chat because it disappears immediately
