impossible to change microsoft account on a steam game

Hello everyone,

I have a somewhat particular problem that I've been stuck on for several months now:

I lost the password for the Microsoft account I initially signed into the game with. When I try to log in with another account, I return to the first menu of the game which asks me again to log in to the first account

So I can't log in with my new account.

Ideas ?

you have to recover the account you bought the games on

My Dad had a saying for things like this.

"How does it feel to want?"

What you want may not matter in the grand scheme of things. You can't just make a new account and transfer licenses around. Some accounts, it turns out, are important. So you need to treat them as the valuable things they are, you need to keep them secure, and when you fail, you need to go through the recovery process. And hopefully the lesson is, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And hopefully you start investing in prevention.
