Steam Overlay: Text entered appearing backwards in text fields

Hello everybody,

When I'm ingame and open the Steam Overlay and type in a textfield the text gets entered backwards into the text field oftenly. I can resolve it by selecting the text field again and removing whatever was there. But doing that every time when I open the overlay starts to become anoying very fast.

I had this bug around 2010 I think and one day resolved itself. Now it returned since the new ui update.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Steam Profile Page award for the one that knows how to fix :D

No but right click properties on that game, and the n try clear web overlay data for that game and see if that is the problem here.

and NO you cant have a same issue from 2010 and then it fix itself and now return.

you might want to contact steam support with it, because things look like same or do same mistake or as you said repeatable mistake, and just because i have never seen this dont mean other could have not seen it, from 2010 to today is way to long to claim i have same mistake now. and that why i tell you to contact steam anything that can be reproduce as bugs, might get there attentions.

Why will any help at all, then OP reclaim things 10 years ago, only steam has the info if this whatever bug is reproduce, gl dig this info out or past steam user that seen this.

And that why you need to contact staam. im not so sure many helper here or was there 10 years ago.

and if none reply or make comment about it, from 8 Sep, 2023 @ 5:09pm thern it dont look like many know about it.

gl with steam ticket, most here will not search for thing that old, after so many steam client update.

Only steam has intel on what they did backthen.

Feel free to delete all Overlay data , and reboot steam, if this dont help, make steam ticket

No ticket then company has no problem. ( learn from other IT-Companys. )

Still randomly happens in any game for like 5+ years now lol, close the tab and make a new tab and redo and its fixed
