Yes, you do want those. Without them the game will either not run at all, or look utterly crap.

no, I do not want a crappy poorly coded program that keeps crashing my games

You obviously have no idea what shaders are, as they are not programs.

riiiiiiiiiiight. regardless it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ coding that crashes a ton

Then it's a problem with the game itself.

You might want to do a clean GPU driver install or contact GPU card support,

ps.
just so you get it, even old games has geta incresed performance, they run things better then PhysX, only very few ppl has had a buggy code with it, and was correct asap and that still GPU driver support vulkan driver is part of reinstall drivers.

Look we are not defender of technologic change they are. take it up with GPU card support if you think they are wrong.

and here it wont help, then its provider by GPU Driver, sure you can turn shader off, until steam remove that option, and it still gpu related issue and steam dont make drivers.
and i bet you know that.

not sure why you dont know how to turn it off then its all there in settings and installed in the windows system, but if i was you take it up wth gpu driver support, there are games now that wont work without them, i bet.

gl with it OP.

Shader pre-cache is still there, in the settings, look again.

Note that either Steam or the game are going to compile the shaders. Shaders are required to play any game. Either the game compiles them, or Steam does. Either you wait for the game to create them, or the game can use the precompiled ones.

Your games crashing means that your video drivers are likely corrupt

Some technical background;: shaders ARE programs that are executed by the GPU.

GPUs used to have hardcoded functions, later referred to as the "fixed function pipeline". Then, the shaders got added (Direct3D 8). Eventually, the fixed function pipeline was removed (Direct3D 10), since all its functions could also be done by shaders.

Shaders are instructions, not a program.

Shaders are indeed programs. Modern shaders are purpose-compiled (read as: compiled to fit your specific hardware) micro-programs that replace the function of fixed shader pipeline hardware. That said, that doesn't change the fact that OP needs these shaders, cannot get rid of them in any way, and should assess what is causing their crashing rather than assuming it's Vulkan shaders.

I didn't ask if I could disable them, I asked how

Can you please learn how to to look for pre shader under download.

Can you please learn going into windows uninstall and uninstall vulcan drivers.

gl with it.

"How" and "could" are the same thing in this context. You can't, so there is no how.
