Playstation 5 Controller not detected when Wireless

Hi everyone,

I'm really struggling with this. I've bought a PS5 controller to use on my pc since I really enjoy the look and feel of the PS5 Controller. However, I quickly found out that it brings a lot of headaches, especially since I want to use it wireless. My motherboard supports Bluetooth 5.2 and the drivers are up to date.

However, steam simply does not see a controller when it is connected to my pc. Also, after connecting the controller just disconnects after a few seconds (10 seconds or so).
I've already updated the firmware and even hard reset the controller using the pin-hole on the back.

I've also tried using the DS4Windows software, however, this too does not see the device when connected for the brief moment it stays connected.

I've been Googling all night and day to find a solution but nothing seems to help, hopefully anyone here has faced a similar problem and knows the answer.

First check and remove the bad pairing:
Go to 'Bluetooth & other devices', scroll down to to 'Other devices' and remove Wireless Controller if it's listed there.

Then follow the PC pairing process:
Hold Create + PS button until the lightbar flashes (now the controller is in pairing mode), then regular Bluetooth device pair process (Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth > select Wireless Controller)
