Do you get in trouble because of false reports?

Some dude told me in a forum's thread that he's reporting because he dislikes my opinion and is encouraging others to do the same, of course reports for dumb/false reasons are ignored, but if someone actually managed to get a group of people to mass report me, would Steam actually punish me ?

Reports are based on credibility and not quantity.

Steam support doesn't use Discord

Even if that Discord user has reported you, they haven't, but if they had Steam Support would investigate. As you've had 0 interaction with that random Discord user it would be obvious from the start that the report is Bull and it'd be ignored.

Doesn't appear to be a Discord-related scam - just some guy threatening the OP with false reports like the old days.

Any report you get in trouble for is a real report, not a false report. AKA if you did nothing, nothing happens, if you did break the rules, you will be punished. period.

Just my copy/paste and didn't tweak it. Doesn't hurt to point out Steam doesn't use Discord.
