dota 2 shortcut doesnt open with steam

while i was installing a web browser during setup it asked if i wanted to open url as main browser, since then all my desktop shortcuts including dota 2 and other game shortcuts open first the browser and then the browser opens steam and then dota 2


cant uninstall the browser now cause its neccessary with my logins and what not,

so is there a way to make steam take back full control of its game shortcuts ?

From your Start Menu go to Settings>Apps>Default Apps>Choose default apps by file type.

Scroll down the list until you find ".url". If it is ANYTHING other than "Internet Browser", click it and change it to, exactly, "Internet Browser" and restart your computer.

that would still open dota 2 shortcut with the browser tho
