Steam went from 18MBps to 1,2MBps

Hi,

Steam used to download games at 18MBps but now it caps at 1,2, a game that would download in an hour now needs 8. Has anyone else had this issue and how do i fix this?

I would really appreciate help because this is crazy slow.

PS, not an issue on my part, speedtest still shows high speed and no issue with other things I use.

Clear download cache, try different content servers.

Tried both, my steam went on a vacation through half of Europe already and nothing.

Have you tried changing the DNS settings that your OS uses? Try something like GoogleDNS, you can search online for the instructions on how to do that, it's nothing too complicated as long as you follow the instructions.

I have no issues with Steam downloads currently, i get the same consistent speed.

My side has no issue, Speedtest shows the same results as it always has, Streaming websites run smooth as usual. Steam is the only one having issues for me.
