Pop up window on start up, removable?

Hello, I've always had steam launch on startup but it never popped up a window before. With the new update stuff, now I'm getting a store window popup on startup that I do not want.
The only way I've been able to fix it is to have steam not load on startup, which I would still like it to.

One of my friends is able to still get steam to run on start and no popup, but we can't figure out why his works that way and why I can't get the same results. Any tips or suggestions I can try?

i think it's
Settings> Interface> Notify me about additions or changes to my games, etc

it's way at the bottom. Turn that off.

UNCHECK ""Run Steam when my computer starts" in the settings and put a shortcut of steam with -nochatui -nofriendsui -silent in run => shell:startup

I unchecked to load on startup, made a shortcut, added the augments in shell:startup, but the window still popped up on start.

I then added to start it minimized but that changed nothing, still popped up as normal. I guess I'll just have to disable steam on startup completely.

Setting - Interface - Start up location, change to Library.

Have you tried that as yet?

Not yet, I figured that would jsut start it up at the library screen instead of the store... not prevent it from opening altogether.
Edit: Yeah it just made it start up at the library.

I fixed it I fixed it!

I did the silent augment wrong. All I needed was "-silent" but my dumb *** put "-silentinrun" which is not what you meant up above.
It flashes that it's loading a window for a second and then neve rpops up. Good enough! Thank you
