Finding nonsteam games

Is there an easy way to find which games are nonsteam games in my library so I can install them on a new computer?

I just look at the game icons on the left before the game name. All non-Steam games have a white border around the icon for me.

That is a no-go here because Ableton, Unreal, etc... have exactly the same border as Steam games, lol.

What I did was simply put them in a folder called whatever to separate them from the others.

My profile number isn't in the userdata folder but I found the folder that has 760 and config. I'll copy those and see what happens

From reading to first part of the post, it seems like this only saves customized parts of the games and not the games themselves. Am I misreading it?

No you're not mis-reading that. All that does is transfer links. You'll have to install the games on the new computer in the same exact locations they are on the old computer in order for that trick to work.

Doing that will add the game names to your library lists. If the games aren't in the same exact place so the links are correct they'll be a dead link.

Looks like you're pursuing another avenue but one way to find them is via Big Picture mode, it has a 'Non-Steam' collection.
Big Picture mode > Menu > Library > Non-Steam

Closest I've got in desktop mode: create a Dynamic Collection with filter 'Installed Locally', set Sort by to 'Size on Disk' and the non-Steam will be grouped at the bottom under No Size.
