Steam friend on home page removed ?

Hello, I noticed that it is no longer possible to add the "Contacts" page to the home screen. Do you know how to work around this removal of the option?

Before update i had the possibility to put only contact screen when i start steam, now it's impossible. They remove it. Do you have any idea why ?

Settings / Interface / Define your steam home page

If it's not in the settings and you want that feature follow these instructions to use the old UI. They removed it from the new UI if it's not there.

You wanted "friends" as in Friends list to open when you launch steam?

If you look at bottom right of client this button been there for years, "friends & chat" just click that, and it will open friends list.

Yes, they remove it. I tried your link and it works for some weeks but not possible now. It open big page...

Hi, thanks for help. I think i didn't explain well. When i lunch steam, i just want "friends/contacts" page to open, nothing much. Do you have any idea how to do it ?

Valve has also disabled the -vgui switch so if you haven't disabled updates as described in the linked forum post before it was disabled you're unfortunately stuck with whatever they've released since then.

I'm using an older client than what's current however I have a "Sign in to Friends When Steam Client Starts" option in Steam > Settings > Friends & Chat.
Is that what you're looking for?

When you go to settings / interface

After select the language you whsh steam to use, In the second section :

Select which Steam windows appearst when the program starts, and when you double-click the Notification Tray icon :
Store,
Library,
News,
> Friends, < what i am looking for
Friends Activity,
Community Home
and Servers.

I want to put "Friends", but in the new steam, i can't find it anymore. They deleted "Friends" in the gui.
