Steam games take forever to launch and have terrible performance
Ever since about a month ago my steam games just wont work. Whenever I hit launch it just takes ages and when it finally loads the game performance is unplayable (10 min loading screens, 1 fps). I have tried reinstalling steam, clearing caches updating drivers and windows and I have no clue what else to do. Other games run fine, its just steam...

Sounds like you're having issues with your computer, not the games. Check your computer's health. Make sure there's at least 20% free space on each drive, clear cache folders for your games.

Do some maintenance on your computer. This includes making sure there's free space so it can run properly, run a virus and malware scan, defrag.

There is a memory leak in Steam's new UI. Some users have shared shutting the computer down and restarting it helps (until the leak floods the system again). Follow these instructions to use the old UI and avoid this issue.

My problem is every other game I own outside of steam works perfectly. I have the space, I have restarted, reinstalled, and nothing...

I wanted to comment on this thread, with, unfortunately, not a solution but more digging on the issue as I'm having it myself. For me the problem doesn't seem to be specifically with the connection between steam and the internet and I know it has something to do with the cloud synchronization function as whenever it does resolve itself it usually reports a cloud sync error. My sneaking suspicion is malware, meaning I will most likely need to reinstall my OS, but will try to run a scan first, but malware that complex most likely can bypass the full windows scan and potentially most options to reinstall other than a clean wipe of the drive with an external reinstall (buying windows again and installing it from disk). I'll try to update this post or make my own if I solve it.

I was on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ server in Wreckfest today, and now the Cloud refuses to properly synchronize. I validated all files. My internet is solid, my computer clean and not an old unit. What is the issue. Their cloud down??

Same problem here. I've been playing elden ring a lot lately, but the loading time is taking like almost 3-5 minutes now for some reason on a black screen and now it crashes shortly after getting into my save.

Also having the same issues, I've ran out of ideas, everything suggested here has been tried and tested. Steam Games take anywhere between 1-10 minutes to load depending on the game, the older games are find like 7 days to die, and Palworld seems to open fine.
But FFXIV, Elden Ring, Brotato just to list a few examples.. require atleast 10 minutes to properly load. FFXIV and Elden Ring often crashes once during the first 30 minutes of gameplay too. If it doesn't crash before then, then it won't crash for the rest of the session.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
