Need help: Game folder was suddenly removed, unable to add it bakc

One of my game folders which has majority of my games are located on a hard drive. I've been using this for almost a year now with no issues, however a month ago the game folder in Storage disappeared. Of course, I went to the Storage and pressed on the + symbol to add it back, however nothing happened. No popup message, no errors, nothing. My PC can read the hard drive fine but Steam won't let me add it back. I've tried re-installing Steam and restarting over and over, but still nothing.

Looks like the missing from library home, enter store page then support and click missing and add it to library again. ( could be a F2P )

Make sure to have enough free room on disks , crashed and lost content is seen as MS space recovery issue and that happend in the system if low running disk space.

game is now so big today that 100gb game require equal amount as free space , what will you do if game patch dl full version as patch, some do this.

Thank you for your help, although I didn't get it to work initially, I just managed to fix it now by renaming the folder. I'm very confused but happy that it works. Thank you for time though, greatly appreciated

Steam does not allow more than one library (or folder) per drive. If you have more than one you may have to combine them. If Steam is installed in C: then you cannot have another library folder on that drive.

I might have this issue. I have one folder called "Steam Library" and another folder with the same name but without the space so "SteamLibrary" not quite sure how this happened, but it's been that way for at least a year. Thanks for pointing this out.

You're welcome. If you are manually moving game files, then be sure to also move the .acf files otherwise Steam will show them as not being installed.
