Can't move or uninstall games in storage manager

The options for move and uninstall a game on the storage manager in steam settings are greyed out. Not sure why this is. Neep help!

The nuclear option is to go to your Windows' Control Panel item: "Programs and Features" and uninstall it from there.

I primarily need the move option as I'm trying to move games to my external hard drive

Not all games can be moved, like Microsoft Flight Sim. They have launchers that are used to download and install their games.

What game do you need to move?

Oh okay I wasn't aware of that. I have quite a few games I need to move and none of them I can the move option is just greyed out

DId you ever find a solution? Im having the same issue, cant highlight multiple games like i used to be able to and uninstall/move is greyed out on every single game i highlight.

The comment on here doesnt explain the issue for me none of my games use an external installer, and i doubt ALL of my games are incompatible.

Sorry this won't be much help but mine just started working again one day. I was able to tick on the box of the list of games in the storage menu and the option for move wasn't greyed out anymore. I double checked that my external hard drive showed up on the list of drives and it was there. Maybe there's a way to remove and then add your external drive again on steam?

Stupid question but did you add the drive you wanted to move it to in Steam? I just had the same issue and as soon as I clicked the drop down arrow alongside the drive and then hit the + Add drive button and selected to add my second drive that I wanted to move my games to it worked and the button was not greyed out

Yeah I did add the drive and that's when it worked
