Cloud sync error
Hello, since steam updated to the new client design, I keep getting a "warning - Steam was unable to sync your saves with the steam cloud" on every game I launch, even non-steam games.

Even though it show this error, my saves sync just fine and I can play normally, it's just annoying getting this error non-stop on everything.

I've tried deleting userdata files, all the saves files and even freshly reinstalled Steam but I'm still getting this error...

Is there any solution for this error or I should just live with it ?

Note: the message should says the game's name but it's blank here. Not sure what's happening.

Hi. I have the same problem as Jyuki. I tried every tips in Steam Troubleshooting section and tips from various websites. No change, the error persists.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Tried to apply the fixes from the troubleshooting section and still no luck either.

And I'll point out that the cloud does works, I've installed Dragon's Dogma yesterday and could fetch my cloud save just fine. The error only happen when I open a game, be it a steam or non-steam one. The sync works fine when I exit a game or open steam.

Another steam user post mention on all games and i told him try steam beta forum, sounds like a serious bug, and try steam beta flip/flop that to see if they have fix it.

i mean i onlu see 1 error so rare its like win in lotto for a mistake that not what i read here.
tht look like stem issue with something, i did not say steam cause it. i said look like it.


none steam games, dont have steam Cloud at all, so a bug i bet. but with what.

I can confirm that the cloud works, but in my case the error pops up even when I start Steam, not just when I shut down the game.

For me the error just disappeared, after clicking on "Retry sync" the process is successful. All I did was install Dota 2 (and related Steamworks components) and start Dota. After shutting down Dota, the sync was successful, so I tried it with the errory games and suddenly it worked.
