Need help with steam resolution
Since probably 4-5 days ago my steam overlay and some games have started to look like weird, like if they were on a different resolution than normal (i play on 1920 x 1080), first i noticed the fps counter was a bit bigger than usualy and the overlay you see whilte alt-tab in general

now i noticed some games are like on different resolutions or something, mosnter hunter world looks blurry and Payday2 is like super big to the point i cant reach or see the option section, the only way i could restore the overlay and fps counter to their original size is by turning off "Scale text and icons to match monitor setting" but it makes my steam look so tiny in general

anyone have any idea on how to fix this? i have looked everywere and found nothing :steamsad:

The Steam overlay always runs at the same resolution as the game, that is a technical limitation of every overlay.

Check the resolution settings in the game itself.

Unrelated, but why is your display set to 39 Hz refresh rate?
edit. Noticed G-SYNC in the specs.

Usually you would want at least 60 hz refresh rate. You can change this by doing the following:
1. On your desktop right-click on an empty area and select "NVIDIA Control Panel."
2. On the left of the window, under "Display" select "Change resolution."
3. There will be a box under "Refresh Rate:" Select 60Hz.
4. Be sure to click "Apply."

Changing the refresh rate will unfortunately not correct the weirdness of the overlay. However it might make games less blurry.

Check Steam -> Settings -> Interface -> Scale text and icons to match monitor settings
The OP has already tried this and it creates a different type of problem--it makes Steam appear "tiny." This is because Windows defaults to 96 dpi scaling. For a 15.51 inch display, 1080p resolution is 142 dpi which is 148% of default. I would suggest setting custom scaling to 148%. However, custom scaling is not supported by all software and can cause problems. Still, it is the ideal means--but only if everyone supported it--by which sizing problems can be avoided. In other words, if you want Steam to "Scale text and icons" to match Windows settings, then you must have the correct Windows settings, i.e. the correct dpi scaling. But be aware that other problems can result from doing so. You may have to compromise by choosing scaling closer to default or go back to the default scaling altogether depending on the situation.
