Controller not working properly in home streaming
Hello,

Since yesterday, my xbox one controllers no longer work properly when streaming with steam in home streaming.
For example, if I am in a game menu and when I press once on the "down D-PAD" button, the input registers indefinitely and bascially gets stuck in a scroll down loop.
This occurs on all D-PAD buttons and start/pause button. Analog sticks and A,B,X,Y are not affected.
I have tested several xbox controllers (elite series and standard) from 3 different client PCs, and the issue is present on all them.
The controllers work fine when launching games locally so the issue is linked to in home streaming.
I notcied there was a steam update on the 1st of August and can only presume that the issue is linked to that update.
Is anyone else encountering this issue?

Looks like this was caused by a steam update. I tried uninstalling my controllers and reinstall and also tried to uninstall and reinstall steam as well same issue. This only happens on my controller and nothing else. Keyboard works fine. This is super annoying and I am unable to do remote play now.

I'm also having this problem and it makes it impossible to stream most games and play them effectively....
This has GOT to be fixed.

I got a similar problem here with my PS4 controllers suddenly not being recognized anymore. Bluetooth mouse & keyboard still working fine, though.

same here, any button stays pressed until another button gets pressed, as if the action of releasing a key doesn't get sent to the host machine until some key is pressed.

someone wrote a bug for this, go there if you are interested in being heard/reading updates:

You could join the Steam client beta, they addressed the issue there.

The option for client beta participation is at Steam > Settings > Interface.
