Game Ownership Transfer
Hey guys, before I make a support ticket, I'd like to know if somebody knows if it's possible to transfer my game ownership to my second account.

Game is GTA V.

No it is not, the game license is non-transferable.

Because they want people to buy their own games instead of getting them from other users. And publishers would never agree to have deep discounts if they had to worry about people selling or transferring their used games.

Indeed not possible :/
Once a game has been purchased and added to one’s Steam library, that license is permanently bound to that account and is unable to be transferred. U don't buy the actual game but the license to play it trough Steam. If Steam ever goes bankrupt, we have nothing :)

well.. both of the Steam accounts are mine... I just want to transfer GTA V to my second account because I have more valuable stuff in the second account than the first...

I just wanted a license change because I almost left this Steam account.

Is it possible to get the license change by providing all proofs of those 2 accounts that I am the owner of them?

No even with proof Steam Support cannot transfer a license. It would be a violation of Rockstar's license agreement and would be illegal.

The only way publisher will allow license transfers is if laws are put in place to force them.

However I wouldn't expect that to happen anytime soon if ever. People have been challenging this stuff for years and it keeps getting thrown out of court.

While you cannot transfer your games to another account thank god you can't, just imagine the security nightmare that'd be you can however family share the account with your main account. However there is really no reason to bother with all this hassle unless you do something dumb and somehow get vac banned.

Even if you could, they wouldn't let you.

Why are you leaving your current account?

If we were allowed to do that people would be giving games away left and right.

You can't share GTA:V though.

Allowing users to transfer games between accounts would open up all sorts of ways for people to exploit Steam and its users. And even if that was a thing it certainly wouldn't be allowed for an account with a ban. Being able to just transfer everything over from a banned account would make a ban rather pointless now wouldn't it.

No, because if you were banned you would also be excluded from sharing games.
