main steam account hacked
i am on my alternate but my account was hacked even though steam guard was enabled and they've changed the email and password, unlinked the phone number and disabled steam guard. I am still signed in to the account on my steam app and other devices. I contacted support but the email linked to the account is the hacker's email so they will receive the responses. Cannot re enable steam guard on my phone and any recovery attempts i have made have all been blocked. Steam has locked down the account but I'm worried about the recovery process since the hacker can see the conversation i am having with support, and I also can't receive the replies from support to my email. WTF DO I DO?

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials somehow.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

email has been changed to hijackers, phone number was removed, account is locked and all recovery attempts are maxed out so i cannot use that tutorial to recover. Any other suggestions?

You don't need access to the email, phone or password currently tied to the hijacked/hacked account for this to work. Just pick the "I do not have access..." or a similar option when asked.

picking any of the "i do not have access to" options results in a red text error saying "You have exceeded the number of allowed recovery attempts. Please try again later."

do you know the cooldown timer for attempts? I'm assuming the hijacker has maxed all my attempts out. Just feels like I'm kinda f*cked atm with the current situation,

You can reach a Valve employee through Steam Support. The necessary steps are mentioned in the guide posted above.

have a a support ticket opened on the actual account since i am still signed in on certain devices, just worried because the hackers email is linked to the account so they can see the support ticket as well and will receive the replies to their email. Also been 4 hours with no response from steam yet so my concerns are just actively rising hour by hour

ticket is still open and active yes, no response from a Valve employee though yet.

SLIGHT UPDATE: After doing some digging as to how the hijacker accessed the steam guard code, I believe they hacked my icloud and got access to the messages and then grabbed the steam guard verification code. Support opened another ticket for me under the original email linked so the hijacker doesn't have access to the conversation messages and to prove ownership.

Make sure to keep those icloud passwords protected if you have an iphone!
