If a game updates its EULA
Is it possible to use that chance to get a refund on a game with 2k+ hours?

No, but you can always try your luck, and see what happens.

So they can update terms of service with new or rewritten rules without me beeing able to get out of the license agreement. hmmmm

anyhow, not the end of the world. I just wish I could get out of the contract and making them pay me to hurt them.
♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs and any changes they do or avoidance of responsibility always goes unpunished. I hate it

You can always go to your local consumer agency and see what can be done. Much more productive than ranting on a forum.

EULA always state: This agreement may change at any time.
So when you agreed the first time, you accepted that the agreement may change.

Reading is an important part of life.

Like I said you can try your luck with refund. Or talk to your local legal advisor such as a lawyer.

At 2K+ hours of gameplay ... You got your money's worth out of it.

Dont care and dont know. I read through it and saw nothing wrong with it.
It just made me think. They are allowed to change user license agreement and I have 2 choices. Accept or decline.
Since I am a paying customer who have no record of cheating or wrongdoing, I thought: "This is maybe a chance to finally get the refund!"
Unfortenatly, so doesnt seem to be the case :)

That not how things works, you have the choice to accept, or decline, if you accept it meant either you read, or not doesn't matter you went out of your way to smash accept. If you decline meant you have reason why you don't want to accept, and logically you go refund the game, instead of playing the game, hence the point of doing the refund.

Since you went out of your way to play the game for 2000+ hours into the game, it meant you happily accepted the terms from the start long ago, and doesn't matter what happens later if they change the terms.

The systems and laws in place may not be geared to satisfy your desire to punish other parties because you have some ax to grind.

So you basically wanted to try and commit fraud by getting a refund under false pretenses and you feel entitled to do this because you are a paying customer even though the thing you are literally trying to do is take the money back that you paid....

Fwiw, here in the UK, the term that one party can modify the contract same the other party has no recourse, could be seen as an "unfair term," therefore non binding.
Afaik it's not been tested with digital content so hard to know which way a decision would go if someone fought it.
