"Verify integrity of game files" not working

I've been facing an issue while trying to launch Dave the Diver. Every time I hit play, a popup appears, stating:

"Game will shut down due to a problem loading content. Please verify integrity or reinstall after shutting down."

I've attempted both reinstalling the game and verifying the integrity via Steam, but neither of these actions has made any difference - and the popup continues to show up. Help would be really really appreciated

Hi!

Please do the following:
1. Open the Steamclient
2. Select Help in the top menu bar, then System Information
3. Copy ALL text and post it here.
