Steam Deck, Non-Steam Game save file issue when removing from library. Empty 'run' folder.
I decided to update Pokemon Infinite Fusion on my Steam Deck but it broke the game.
So, I did what I usually do and temporarily removed it from my library then applied it back from Desktop Mode after fixing anything(I didn't touch the save at all). Usually I get to keep my save game with no issue and continue playing(I've even switched Proton versions like this before to test which ran the game better), However this time it assigned a new Prefix for the Non-Steam game and removed the previous folder which held it's save data(located in compatdata).

I've used ProtonTricks to find the correct folder and confirmed that Steam was deleting the previous Prefix folder for Infinite Fusion and assigning it a completely clean one.

I've read that any files that are in the Non-Steam game's compatdata folder are backed up to an 'run' folder before they are actually removed from the compatdata folder. However, when I went to go look for the 'run' folder that exists, the folder that is supposed to hold the backups was completely empty.

Am I completely SOL on my 20+ hr save file or am I just dumb and missing something?
Any help is appreciated,

Bump :alphys:
this is happening to me too. battle net launcher was not loading, so i went to browse files but the folder was gone. using disk space analyzer confirmed my diablo 4 install was gone.

i reinstalled it last night, and this morning the folder is gone again.

currently trying to get this running through lutris by copying my PC install over. seeing this happen for other people on google results has me not trusting games added via the steam wine wrapper, im only trusting lutris to manage non steam games from here on out.
