normally i see and can understand if some files are trustworthy or not i also dont download much but i made the mistake and tried out a game for free by downloading it from internet. i had my windows defender on, i think it didnt detected any virus or maybe i disabled it so i can install the game not sure what i did wrong. but now i have resetted my pc tottally reinstalled windows 11 updated everything and also got Bitdefender antivirus installed for safety.
The codes likely only work for a certain login attempt.
Secure the email and all its settings. Then all associated accounts.
What you describe points to a serious breach on your end.
Steam support answered to my message and they found out i have been hijacked. i got back access i also secured my email. changed password logged out of all devices and put more security options to the login methods.
And technically someone with access to your email could have accessed all associated accounts.
