Download Speed Capped at ~12MB/s

Recently got a new Connection and proceeded to download a game. Worked pretty well for a couple of Minutes, rising to about 40 MB/s. However, it then gradually dropped down to ~12 MB/s, and has been staying there with little to no Change. According to a Speedtest I should manage ~100 MB/s maximum, so something is definetly capping my DL Speed. Already changed between a few regions and cleared the DL Cache, with no success. Any Ideas?

Speedtest uses Megabit, Steam uses Megabyte.

8 Bit = 1 Byte

100 Megabit = 12.5 Megabyte per second.

So, getting a downloadspeed of 12 Megabytes per second is rather normal for a 100 Megabit connection.

I have kept the Conversion in Mind. in Mbps my Speedtest Max is ~770, whereas in Steam rn im only getting ~100...

Also made sure im uncapped in Steam Settings, in case thats a concern

Could you do a speedtest on speedtest.net and link the results?

Wrong cable to router/switch issue can also do this, even seen some router had port1 as wan/lan options.

and i cant see cathulhu reply from a hour ago, waiting for steam analysis hes reply.

There you go. As stated in the Captions, I did a Speedtest immediately after setting everything up, and got expected results. however, after noticing my Steam DL speed drop, the second image is the results. im pretty sure its something with the router at this point, but ive got no clue what.

Sounds like something you'll have to talk about with your ISP.

Wifi Connection? Had that problem too at some point and it was my router dropping down into the slower 2.4ghz network when the 5.0ghz reception was not perfect.
2.4ghz seems to be locked at around 10-11 MB/s in that case.

If you are on Wifi connection, try forcing your connection to stay in 5ghz in the router settings or disabling the 2.4ghz frequency alltogether.

Alternatively try if you get better speed with a LAN connection.
