Ingame steam browser. 2 questions

1. Why does it save the last closed tab when I open the browser again? And can I disable this?

2. If I am ingame, tab out and click on a steam link, like store page or a profile. Why does it open in the ingame browser? I am not using that function at the moment, im using Steam, I dont want to get assaulted by tabs when I jump back into the game. (Usually I tab while waiting for players, I do NOT want make MY loadingtime longer by having 1-5 tabs simultaneous trying to load in as soon as I tab back into the game!
How do I fix this?

By the sounds of it you're using the Steam overlay, why wouldn't links open in the overlay browser?

If you don't want to use the overlay browser, don't use the overlay. You can disable the overlay, or alt-tab back to your desktop. No?

I'm not clear what the issue is, I can't say I've ever had a problem controlling whether I was using the overlay or not. Am I missing something? Because this sounds more like a pebkac issue to me.

I get what you are saying and no, I wont turn off steam overlay. It has its uses.
But if I tab out of a game, I want to use the out of game Steam app.
Why does actions I take outside of the steam overlay transfer to the steam overlay?

I want em to be 2 separate things, like they used to be
