Is there such a thing as Steve Valve?

Been getting discord DMs about reports to my account and to contact someone on discord by the name of Steve Valve. Is this a true prevention of account ban or am i being scammed big time?

No. It's just a question we see everyday on this forum.:-)

Its a well known scam and Valve actually explicitly warns about it.
Steam Support will NEVER contact you on Discord, they have no presence on Discord at all.
The only way Steam Support will ever contact you is with a direct message in your Steam client in the form of a red ! in the upper right corner.
That means " message from Support".

EVERYTHING ELSE is a attempt to scam you. No exception. Especially if its on Discord.

Just use common sense.

Just ask yourself: Why on earth would a Billion Dollar Company like Valve contact their customers through a free App (That also collects and sells Data) aka Discord?

I had a person who wrote to me about the issue of: "I accidentally reported you," "Someone is pretending to be your Steam profile." If someone writes to you, then first: Report Spam and Block the person. The person has likely found your Steam profile through a Discord server that both of you are part of. Subsequently, the person checks your Discord profile to see if you have linked your Steam account with your Discord account. If it happens that people write to you about this, I recommend that you unlink your Steam account from your Discord account.
