Steamdeck steam logo spinning game not displaying

All right boys, I don't really know how to describe this without just vomiting onto the screen. I apologize in advance. Tldr I launch a game, play the game, turn the screen off, turn it back on and the only way I can see the game is by hitting the steam button and it only displays for a moment.

For those of you who want more information. Recently I was having this difficulty so I reformatted/ factory reset the steam deck. Hoping this would fix it. I'm running the stable builds only currently for updates and the system is fully updated. When I launch a game if it goes into sleep mode or I turn the screen off at any point. When I turn the screen back on I can hear the game running in the background but the only thing on the display is either a gray or a white screen or the steam logo with the blue circle spinning around it. If I hit the steam button as soon as the menu appears on the left side, I can see the game running behind it. But when the steam button is pressed again and the menu disappears, it goes back to either the gray screen or the spinning steam icon. Would love to know if anybody else has had this issue and resolved it. Thanks boys and girls.

Remote play will launch the game on my PC but not on steam deck I can here it bus visually just and infinite spinning circle
