I can't access the app's store search games function

Ever since the summer sale started, I can't search for games in the store. Also, the option to search deals is gone from the menu bar too. It was there just last week. If I want to see games on sale, I have to go through all the windows of recommendations. I can select a category to search, but then I can't only search subcategories in that genre. I can't clear the search and look at all games or insert my own filters. The same goes for the store on the site.
This is unacceptable. The sale is ticking by, and I want to see everything is on sale.
How do I fix this?

Try searching for a random game at the search bar below the "wishlist" when you click the store button.

Don't click the games that would pop-up, just hit enter.

Then you'll be able to see the list of games available with all the filters you're looking for.

Example given: Type Payday 2 > Hit enter > There u go
