verify game files????

soooo why is verify game files gone? or where is it now? Transferred game files to new computer and don't see it. Please help.

Right click game > Properties > Verify

User is in the Browser maybe, or on a shared Family pc, such option or idea ,i have not checked for sense i dont use it. ( steam will never remove that from client or own setting on own pc. )

Well, right-click > properties > Installed Files >> Verify integrity of game files

It didn`t go nowhere. You have to right click on the game > Properties > archives installed > verify the integrity of archives.

Or maybe game transfer is manuel and he forgot the .adf files and not seen in steam lib.
only OP know if game is transfer the right way, we other is guessing here.

steam has local insall though Lan now , not sure you need transfer anymore, you just install them and steam should fetch it from other pc on same LAN.

sense most have 1gb network today then it should be faster then ISP broadband.

You can't verify if steam doesn't have game installed already. Before you could copy game files put them into steam folder and verify. But OP would only remember that.

I am not completely sure but it seems to me that when after manually copying game files over, a file verification is automatically initiated when you try to install the game. In most instances, Steam will appear as if it is downloading the game from scratch--even indicating by file size that the game needs to be downloaded in its entirety. However, Steam will skip files that it recognizes and validates; the download will be much shorter than expected.

If the appmanifest_xxx.acf files are correctly copied over, then the game will appear as being installed, and you will be able to verify files.

There sre checksum, so it dont matter how its done, you need error in that then it will fetch from steam server.

and we still have clear DL cache if needed if it dont work.

Where i'm at LAN is only 20Mbps, so my best choice was to transfer files
