you could try right clicking windows > Device manager > click on Disk Drives drop-down arrow > select the disk youre installing games on right click that goto properties > policies and disable 'Enable write caching on the device' to see if that helps with writing speed
This also could come with another problem like if power goes out might result in data loss/corruption
be happy someone tell you this.
ps.
try DL in off peek hours and that mean then people are sleeping in your timezone.
problem is so do all other steam user know, its the normal traffic that is reduce that mean steam dl should increase and not get dropped.
And welcome to Global traffic require user understand we cant all use same DL zone.
there is NO ISP in the world or steam server can feed us all from one DL server, we need to learn spreadout procedur. ourself.
could also said time for steam cue, not because its steam thats slow but path to you is through ISP and there partners partner.
do not have own pc issue in top of this. ( problem is its always happend doing event sale then things is overcrowed. )
I dunno man... I'm dowloading at 2am on a Sunday night (so, technically, Monday). I don't think many people are downloading such huge amounts of data from all four servers on my country such as to make me have this drops in dowload speed...
Thanks for the reply anyways. I did had some issues with LoL yesterday (not with WoW, OW nor HotS tho) so I think I'll give my ISP a call tomorrow mornig... just in case.
this is well know by more steam user that sale effect DL, you forget other steam user also DL at night for mass DL. and you only need one ISP that is the weakest link as we say today..
gl with it.
ps.
you can try complain to own ISP, but i doubt they graps the senario.
steam sale is same as a Black friday, you think ISP dont have issue, problem is have balls enough to admit it.
