Steam digital gift card from Brazil to Argentina
Hi guys!

I have a question that I wanted to address for a long time now. I have a friend who lives in brazil. I am argentinian, and we both got to know each other during an exchange student program in Colombia. His birthday is coming up and I wanted to give him a steam gift card. I saw that now, there are some digital gift cards, that seem to work well. The thing is I tested them with 5 euro to my brothers steam account that currently lives in France, Lyon. For some reason, I couldn't send the gift card. I know Argentina has some weird policies going around about some scams and stuff but I don't know if this is related or not. Can I only gift cards in South America? I know it works like that for gifting games...

Gifts from and to Argentina have been disabled due to the volatile nature of the Argentinian currency.

As cathulhu mentioned, all countries (argentina, turkey etc) with high abuse of region hoppers are no longer able to receive digital gift cards from outside the respective countries. But you should still be able to send digital gift cards to more expensive countries with less regional abuse like the US, EU and so on.

Because all gift cards from and to Argentina have been disabled as already mentioned.
Game Gifts are restricted for all stores and dont allow a gifting if the price difference between the two regions is more then 10%.
So no reason to disallow it for Argentina.
