Summer sale only showing dlc in store. I can't find a hide dlc option? is there one?

Ok, so I was browsing the summer sale by choosing category on the Steam store front page.
I then selected a bunch of options on the left-hand side of the store listing to narrow down my search, such as Online co-op, special offers and some others.
The result I got is that there was barely even one actual game shown to me even when scrolling down a couple of pages. All were DLC. Now, I don't give a lying duck about DLC to games I do not even own, and there seem to be no option on that page to not show DLC. Why?

I also went over to my store preferences and checked over there and saw no options to hide DLC there either.
I can block early access titles but not DLC to games I do not own? again... why?

Nobody will be exited about seeing a bunch of DLC for any game at all(unless you really like the base game and in that case you are likely already aware of the DLC already).
And people will never buy or even click in on a random DLC in a store listing when searching for new games to play.
So I ask again... Why?

Why do I have to navigate this virtual sea of DLCs when looking for games? Is it not counterproductive for a game store to hide what they are trying to sell among endless chaff?

Now I know this whole text is rant-esque in lenient terms, so thank you for bearing with me if you got this far. Also please inform me if a solution is available and I am just being blind.

If you are the type of person who clicks on DLC for random games, If such a beast in human skin even exists. Then you, Sir/Madam are a vile animal and I look upon you with nothing but contempt.

Were it not for the old search, I probably would have given up on Steam when searching for games, amidst the constant appearance of DLC for games I don't want or am not interested in.
