Is this a legal account?

I bought a Steam game on difmark.com.
I thought I'm buying a game code, but the seller provided me with a steam account and shady instructions.

I wanted to ask if this account is legal?

The instructions were:
1. Install Steam client (https://store.steampowered.com/about/Steam)
2. Log in to Steam using the received data (if you need a GUARD code to enter, contact me again in the chat).
Login - <the account name>
Password - <the password>
3. Download and install the desired game from Steam.
4. Run the game online for 1 minute and then exit.
5. Next Enter the offline game mode (upper left corner -> Steam -> Go Offline ..) and start the game again.
7. You can play.
! ATTENTION !Dear Customer. Any changes to the account data (login / password) can lead to a COMPLETE loss of access to the game. Do not violate the rules and installation instructions! Thank you. Have a nice game


This feels illegal to me, so I wanted to verify if this is indeed the case.

Nope. You got scammed.

Account trading isn't allowed, and the true owner of that account could take it back at any time.

Do a chargeback on the scammer, and be more careful using those grey market sites.

The sites on isthereanydeal[isthereanydeal.com] are all legit.

Not only that, Valve can and will also close any accounts found to have been purchased and may action the main account of the person who purchased an account.

Do start a refund at the shop, and remove that link. Also open a ticket to shop's support, ,they help you in most cases. Tell them the seller offered a Key but gave a shady account instead..
