How to get the Years of Service badge?
Hi everyone
I have a question. One of my accounts is from 2017 and I did not exceed the $5 limit. If I charge $5 to my account now, can I get the 5-year badge? Or will I receive a one-year badge?

most likely they wont account going back to 2017 and you'll only get the year you made a purchase, which would be what you assumed 1 year badge

You get the 5 year badge. As soon as you pay the 5 dollar to unlimit your account all accumulated time on Steam will fully be counted for the batch.

The years of service goes by date the account was made. When you exceed the $5 limit to making account unlimited, you get your 5-year badge.

A few years ago, Valve stopped limited accounts from gaining years of service because scammers were making a market out of old dud ones.
