Cancelling the use of a key?

Hi,

I bought a bundle of games this morning and was activating the keys on Steam when I accidentally activated one I'd intended to give to a friend...is there any way to "cancel" the use of a key? I couldn't find any way to contact steam support directly, but they can easily verify that I activated the key not even an hour ago and haven't installed/played the game.

Sadly no, key activations are permanent and irreversible.

There are ways to contact support, but believe me, you don't want to, if you don't really have to. The first couple of responses are just prescripted replies to keywords in your request, until they start reading it. And anything, that isn't part of their script, has no hopes anyhow.
