How cloud save works.
- If cloud save enable see that you have a save uploaded, it downloads replacing what there to keep things sync.
- If cloud save enable see that you have save that newer than what on the cloud it may ask which one you want to keep for local, or cloud, if select local it upload that save replacing what on the cloud, if select cloud it replaces what on your local from the cloud.
- If you want to upload custom save, or someone else save as your own, you have to start game, replace the files, then shutdown game, this will cause steam cloud to upload that replace files to the cloud, and treat it as your own.
PLEASE NOTE, there some people that alter save that don't work correctly, don't provide the correct save, or didn't give you all the save files, or rename them to cause confusion without explaining it to others, another issue is rare, but unlikely to happen, if there an issue how saves are done between legit, and priate copy that may be the reason why things not working as they should.
My advice, make a save 1st, then do the process to replace the game save.
- If you want to keep your cloud save, just turrn off cloud save, then replace save.
- If you want to replace on your cloud save, run game, replace files, shutdown game, that it.
Interesting, I’ll try that in the morning. It’s 1:15 am and I need sleep! Probably would be good to be actually mentally there for something like this lol
This is what in "autocloud.vdf" file.
Was there something in that causing you a problem?

To get to that menu: Help -> Steam Support -> My Account -> Data Related to Your Steam Account -> Uploaded Content -> Steam Cloud
To DELETE a cloud save from Steam's cloud itself, the game in question must offer this functionality separately. This cannot be done from the Steam client itself. Deletions of saves within cloud capable games are usually synced as well.
If you are a citizen of the EU, you may have leverage via Support by performing a GDPR partial deletion request under Article 17.
Removing it does nothing for you, even if it gone whatever issue you're having is still gonna be there as again autocloud has nothing to do with game for how it reads the game save file.
Now are you placing the game save file here?
%LOCALAPPDATA%\NewGundamBreaker\Saved\SaveGames\
Copy that address above, press Ctrl + R, this open your run command, paste that, and it will open a folder where you need to be, ensure that where you place your game save file.
Now where did you get this save file?
