And why do you need the API key?

Note, no one here will help you setup trading with a third-party bot - we don't help users get scammed.

I sometimes buy and sell things on a buff, for reinsurance I change api keys and trade links, because somewhere I went somewhere, and I caught a trade substitution

You do not require an API key to trade on Steam...only when dealing with third-party scam sites.

So, we can't really help you.

and now I changed the api key and trade link on the account, and everything works on the computer, but on the phone it knocks out an error, writes "invalid credential supplied" and does not load in any way, etc.

I wanted to send an item to a friend, but I just can't "confirm" without a steamguard on my phone

Here's some help - focus on doing this:

You MUST also take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey - This field should be blank

Do NOT trade until your account is secured.

look, my account is protected, there is a steam guard, there is a password, potcha, no malware, everything worked fine, today I first changed the api key from the phone, and the trade link, after that the steam on the phone stopped working correctly and gave an error

In other sites, such as csmoney(have advertise on lan tournament and online lans on CSGO), skinsport, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they need an api key and a trade link so that the bot can send an exchange offer
They are ALL known scam sites. This is how people get all their items stolen.

You will receive no help or support with the use of 3rd party scam sites.

Steam api key is same thing like key to your house. So, you would give your key for you house to strangers without issue too? Using these 3rd party trading (scam) sites which "requires" your Steam api key, means your Steam account gets compromised already.

You've given your credentials you a site linked to phishing already. They typically ask for an API key so they can then replace it with their own meaning they can monitor all aspects of your account in a bid to intercept trade offers and destinations.

The only help you will get with something like this is on how to secure your account and not get compromised.

I am aware of all these frauds, the question remains open! I didn’t enter the api key anywhere, I just installed it on steam, and my steam bugged on my phone, but everything works properly on the PC
