Help, I cannot go on Steam, it gives me an error with "Access Denied"
While I was trying to go on the Steam workshop to download something (I did it on my web browser), I received an error that showed "Access Denied" with it saying "You don't have permission to access "http://store.steampowered.com" It also included a Reference code in there. I have done nothing except play Euro Truck Simulator 2 for a couple hours.

I have tried many solutions online to try to solve this problem. I have tried unplugging my router and plugging it back in, restarted my computer, flushed the DNS, restarting the Steam client by turning offline mode on, and then turning it to online mode. No, my IP does not change when I restart my router.

The Steam client is blank except for the library. I literally cannot access anything. Yes, I am on a VPN which is why I can post this. If anyone could find a solution to this, I would appreciate it.

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to order or purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, Valve may terminate your access to your Account.

Don’t use that Vpn to purchase games just fyi

You can’t use the Steam Community Market if your Steam account is limited. In order to remove this restriction, you must have spent $5 on Steam.

The only way of using it without a purchase would be by adding $5 to your account (you don’t necessarily have to spend it), or by activating a Steam gift card.

After 7 days you’ll be able to use the Steam market normally.

My Steam account is not limited, but my IP is restricted from accessing this website. Can't seem to find a solution anywhere, and I have not had any luck with it. Other people seem to have their problem fixed like magic. Tried with other devices, no luck.

My *guess* is that your IP that is registered with steam is not the same as the IP you are attempting to access the store on, which may be fine if you’re in the same geographical region as the IP, but if they are different, steam may be seeing that you are signed in on one IP, whether it is the same or different region as the one you’re trying to access the store from and it’s blocking you then

It started happening yesterday out of nowhere. I didn't use a VPN to access Steam, it simply just happened without nothing tampering with my internet. I was simply enjoying my game when it all started. There isn't anything about Steam logins in my email except for the activity that I am familiar with.

You have contradicting statements there chief

I used it AFTER I received the error message to see what happened. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Update: I found out that Akamai, which Steam uses is blocking my IP from certain websites. It detected me as a "web scraper" which is something that I have never done and never even bother to do. No idea why my IP got the "web scraper" tag but I'd probably contact them.
