Cannot uninstall a game.
Last night, I started installing phantasy star online 2. A severe storm ended up knocking out my power and I ended up just going to bed. This morning I got back on to finish the Install (The game had already downloaded, it was just installing) and it was stuck at 102.6gb of 102g gb and not doing anything after about thirty minutes. I decided to just start over, but I cannot uninstall what's already there because it says Uninstall Error - busy.

How do I fix this? It's not budging still on the install and I can't do anything with it.

Anywho, It's an issue with steam, uncommon but easily googled with fixes varying.

1 or 2 ( both solution is a way out of it if data is stuck, assume you have plenty of free space, thats total DL size, multiplyed by 2 or 3 as temporary work space. )

1
locate game folder and wipe it, you can rename to game name.old, but whats the point if data is corrupted or game devs update it again with hot fixes, then its outdate data and useless. and why DL update fix wont work.

2
Validate gameintergrity of files should work, this dont explan if game use a Third part client then that app might have own check content. dont know that game

gl with it.

sometimes Validate files is best, but its also seen as waste of time then content is outdate.

Had a similar issue where it kept 'Timing Out'. I had to use CC Cleaner to uninstall it.

I would run chkdsk followed by "repair folder" in Steam>Settings>Storage.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
