Steam Workshop taking up most of my disk space.

Hi,
Steam workshop downloads folder is taking up half if not more of my disk space.
Can someone please advice me of how to lower the amount, or if I can move the folder safely?

Unsubscribe from a bunch of your workshop stuff.

Deleting them wont do any good as they will just re-download when steam sees they are gone

Go to the workshop tab of the game in question
on the right side by your avatar is a pulldown
select "subscribed items"
clikc "unsubscribe from all"

Can I move the folder or will that redownload all of them?
Also does it download workshop from games I have no installed?
