CANNOT REDOWNLOAD WITCHER 3
I manually (using cut and paste) moved my all my steam games and app from C drive to D drive. This made the games to be undetected by Steam. Whenever I open Steam and play the games from there it will make me redownload them all over again. So I searched ways from youtube and found a method (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5VmiHQO5ic&ab_channel=SalmanEvadam). The method in the link proved to be effective for some of my games. But when I tried to do it with The Witcher 3 it did not work.

The following is the recount of all the steps I did:
1. Move The Witcher 3 from "common" folder in steamapps to let's say Folder X temporarily.
2. Open Steam as Administrator and start the installing the game then pause after downloading about 5mb.
3. After exiting from Steam, I delete all appmanifest files, files from the "downloading" folder in steamapps, and the newly created folder in the "common" folder.
4. Put back again the game that I temporarily moved from Folder X to the "common" folder.
5. Open Steam and install the game.

Now this is where it gets frustrating. After the STEP #5 Steam will start discovering the existing game by itself and I can rejoice. This method was helpful for me for my other games. But for The Witcher 3 after finishing the "discovering the existing files" or the validating part, it will start downloading from 9GB. And when I tried opening the "downloading" folder in the steamapps immediately there will be a folder named 20320 (when opened this has the same content from The Witcher 3) which amounts to 50+GB. *Please note that only seconds passed and it already downloaded a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 50GB folder*

Whenever I tried repeating the steps and searching ways from Google it still downloads a 50GB folder. I tried restarting my pc, clear download cache, repair steam library, redownloaded Steam, and all methods from online. But still after the validating part, it instantly downloads a 50GB folder. I also tried removing every Witcher 3 file, even the original file. I thought maybe downloading from scratch might prove useful. But it still f*ckin starts from 50GB. So I eventually tried waiting it out. The downloading folder will instantly start from 50GB but the downloading bar and time from Steam will start from around 9GB and will have a few hours. I waited it out and when it finished it says CORRUPT UPDATE FILES ERROR.

So guys please help :'(

This may have a clue. I tried opening the exe app directly and it says "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

Have you tried using the storage manager to move it instead?
