Can I move GTA V from Epic Games to Steam?
I mean since I already own the Game would It be a big deal for Rockstar to move the game from one account to other, if they have any support?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

No, you cannot move games between platforms. If you buy or obtain a game on Epic then why should Valve be expected to provide their content and cloud servers to you?

Interesting, why wouldn't they, they could add like where I can pay a fee to transfer games, I would be happy to pay a fee and they would be happy to take my money, and now their cloud saves are paid for.

You'd have to ask Rockstar if they'd be willing to provide a Steam copy.

Neither platforms nor developers/publishers are interested in that, though. They much rather have you repurchase a game.

You can always ask Rockstar to provide you a Steam key. Though I wouldn't count on actually getting one.

Okay, I've just asked Rockstar support nicely for that, let's hope that they actually check their support tickets.

The Steam and Epic versions both use the same servers to play on. As you have to login via the Rockstar launcher, it doesn't really matter which store you bought the game from.

If you are ok with paying a fee for transfering a game where is the problem with buying the game on a sale again?
That way you have 2 copys of the game.

If something like that would exist dont expect the fee to be cheap. Cause you would have to pay Epic and Steam for the transfer and the Devs/Pubs probably want a piece of it too.

The fee is rebuying the game.

GTA V goes on sale all the time. Just buy copy on steam if you want it here.

If not they are both essentially the same anyway since both platforms connect to rockstar servers.

They have a fee. It's called buying it from Steam.

I doubt Epic would like that very much considering that's one of the games they gave away for free in the hopes that people will use their service. I assume they had to pay Rockstar something in order to be able to do that.

This is a dumb answer that's not a fee but rebuying the whole game again, why would I want that, if I already paid for it on Epic Games, that would make the cost of all this go into 100s of dollars, a fee would be if they made me pay 5$ to move the game from Epic to Steam, which I would be up to, I'd pay for this.

what your willing to pay does not matter. if you want the game on Steam, you buy it on Steam. you can add the game as a Non Steam game, but it wont have access to what you get by actually having it on steam.

if you want to try and get it moved to steam, take it up with Rockstar. its their game, their rules.
